Northumbria Police deal with an angry van driver who has no MOT. And a PC faces a suspected drug driver whose vocal boyfriend won't come quietly.

Cases include a driver without a licence whose car reeks of cannabis, a man who can't spell the name he gives to officers, and boy racers causing chaos in a car park.

PCs Jan Simlesa and Jamie Leslie pull over a top of the range BMW and smell alcohol on the driver's breath, and the roadside breathalyser test reveals a shocking result. In Sunderland, PCs Will Hunter and Mary-Anne Hutchison don't like the look of a car that's seen better days, but as the driver pulls in to get his tyres checked, he spots the cops, ditches his vehicle and makes off on foot
